I realize that this isn't the purpose of this message box, but I have a Mag-Probe HS that is several years old that has quit working. Is there a simple fix for it? Does it have a battery in it that needs to be replaced? I am one of those types that hates to throw something away that is perfectly good if it can be easily fixed. I congratulate you on your success - its something that most of us dream of but never have the initiative to pursue.

Bob:

Hi Fred, The Mag-Probe is a sealed unit. The battery is a no lead lithium. This design makes it water proof and explosion proof. Time is money. You'll save the price of a Mag-Probe after only one use. From then on it's all gravy. Thanks for your complement. It is a dream come true. Bob
